This is an article by a tall man who states that many tall men feel intimidated by tall women, which is part of the reason they have an insatiable desire for short women. He also admits that when tall men encounter a man who is even taller than they are, they feel extremely uncomfortable as though the even-taller guy is poaching his privileges. Of course, he just doesn't get that Napoleon Complex is a bs myth created by tall men as an artificial, slight-of-hand maneuver to protect their superiority from being violated, but at least he's being somewhat fair by exposing his fellow tall men for some of their BS, although, he didn't choose a tall dictator to attribute this behavior to.
I'd also like to give the author credit for the "space bubble" portions of the post. I felt like this was a great way to describe the "freedom" tall men feel by being able to view the world on an island. It's as if though they can be "in the midst" of things, while also having a peace of mind by not being bumped into, having people bow-up to them, having folks in their face, hitting them with elbows etc. I really liked the following passage.
"Because of the height difference the area immediately around my face is typically free. The vast majority of my eye contact is made downward and away which also leads to a feeling of greater space while conversing. I’ve noticed that many tall people especially those in their late teens, 20s and early 30s have a much larger space bubble than others. Typically that space bubble extends from their shoulders up around their heads."
And on the other hand, look at this trash-tsunami of nonsense from the comment section
"Napoleon threw his shoulders back and tried to stretch his neck. This may be the complex of the short men you speak of when they are attempting to please taller women."
You've got to be kidding me. So, because Napoleon(who wasn't even short) stood-up straight in pictures, that proves that he has a height complex. Don't most military leaders stand with a straight posture? I guess everyone can stand at position of attention, but when short men do it(or even non-short men like Napoleon,) it's time to form a discriminatory stereotype and pass it off as science. Short men need to stop tolerating this type of bullshit.
