When I saw this, I thought WHAT THE FUCK? If I remember properly, racists tell about studies showing black men are stupider than white people. This is fucikng similar!!! I cannot believe that this thesis are in Wikipedia!!!! Sorry, I'm very, how feminists tell, TRIGGERED. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Height_and_intelligence"The study of height and intelligence is the analysis of how variations in height affect human intelligence. Some epidemiological research on the subject has shown that there is a small but statistically significant positive correlation between height and intelligence after controlling for socioeconomic class and parental education.[1] This correlation arises in both the developed and developing world and persists across age groups. There is no scientific consensus on why this correlation arises, but one possible explanation is that height may act as a biomarker for nutritional status and health during intellectual development. One such theory argues that since height strongly correlates with white and gray matter volume, it may act as a biomarker for cerebral development which itself mediates intelligence."

I believe that the following passage pretty much tells it all.
"Other explanations further qualify the positive correlation between height and intelligence, suggesting that because the correlation becomes weaker with higher socioeconomic class and education level, environmental factors could partially override any genetic factors affecting both characteristics."
Basically, if you have enough money not to be malnourished, social factors are a much more substantial influence. I also just love how stuff that there is no explanation for is always being used to further the hatefest against us. Some of the research people always use in making these assumptions is based on "maximum height potential." What those studies found is that if someone reached their maximum height potential, they tend to be more intelligent. Here's how that got misplayed. Let's say your Mom is 5'8 and your dad is 6'4, and your maximum height potential was 6'2 as the result. On the other hand, let's say my Mom is 5'1 and my dad is 5'7, and my maximum height potential is 5'5.
Let's say you grew to 6'0, and I grew to 5'5. In this scenario, I would've reached my maximum height potential, and you wouldn't have, thus, I would probably be more intelligent. However, the way the studies get represented states that the taller person will always be more intelligent even if they don't reach their maximum height potential. Maximum height potential is based on subjective height potential based on your family, not on how much taller/shorter you are than any given third party, but the studies always get interpreted in the way that is least flattering to short people. It's awful to see this play-out time-and-time again, but this is the type of BS that short people put-up with in silence.
Welcome to the forum! This was an excellent first post, and we need more input like people such as yourself in these parts. I was certainly pleased to see your post, which points-out one of the major issues that we face.

Welcome to this forum! I'm new here, too. This is a perfect place to avoid getting sidetracked away from heightism.
I always thought intelligence along with height has to be false, including "overall health". Stuff like this pisses me off.
Apparently, they totally forgot that Albert Einstein and Isaac Newton were also short.
Oh, yeah, Bruce Lee was 5'7 when he was alive. Did it look like he was inferior? Lmao! People nowadays are just being completely bias thinking the tallers are the only healthy way.

Einstein was 5'9'', Steven Hawking was 5'7'', Isaac Newton was 5'6''. Theory debunked?
