This is because men are supposed to "man up" and "deal with their cards dealt", and cosmetic procedures are considered feminine, plus poor women and "more power to women", so we are viewed as less masculine, and add on being short, we loose all manhood because of the stigma of being short and being a man who "couldn't deal with it" because of a very acute stigma of the 2 working against us in conjunctionction. I can't form an intelligent comment like you, so forgive me. I think you're on my side about this issue? Let's just imagine a scenario that I think is a problem; Say, if a short guy still wants to wear elevator shoes, he can't hide the fact that's he's wearing them (otherwise, he'd come off insecure) so he needs to make his lifting shoes more visually obvious, like high heels. This lets you know that he KNOWS he is short, he just wants to wear them to be taller than women wearing heels. Yeah, that would make him a cross dresser, but he should be allowed to wear them if short women are allowed to wear them. Equality. He does not act like a girl, he's still a man who likes women, he just happens to wear high heels like women do. Maybe he can wear a skirt, a manly skirt, then carry a man-purse. Sounds pretty surreal, huh?

Sounds pretty surreal, huh? Yes I absolutely am! I was comparing 2 mechanisms that perpetuate heightism. I have been on this forum for months and I was comparing how ridiculous it is that short men can't also wear heels because of this double standard and that already being men we loose all privelege, but yea your absolutely right, people assume a male who wants to act feminine is a crossdresser to multiply that stigma when being short and male, but men should be allowed to "enhance" their height like women, but there is nothing to change because people's perception and heightism is the problem,I'm glad you see this.

Heightism is an issue for men and women. And its also an issue for women of color. I think the problem we really have is that people treat people based on apperance. They dont treat everyone the same becasue of the fact that humans should be treated with respect. There is privelage given and taken away according to how we look. It is wrong. And I always said the best way to get rid of heightism, racism is to get rid of beauty stndardsand to treat people equally.
