Those who have been following the news today may have heard of an incident where United Airlines overbooked a flight and needed a few passengers to leave so that the backup crew had somewhere to sit. Well, somehow, they figured that once they couldn't bribe enough people to get off the plane, the next best course of action would be to send a bunch of big guys to rough up the passengers. They ended-up choosing a doctor who had to get back to Louisville to see patients in the morning. I can't be sure how tall the guy was, but as he was being dragged down the aisle, he looked to be objectively short, but he was average height at the most, and he was most certainly a lot shorter than the officers. Notice how they didn't choose the big fat guy who was sitting there running his mouth, and they didn't choose any women to yank off the plane(which statistically speaking, would've been much easier) I think they chose a smaller guy on-purpose because they 1) thought they would intimidate him with their oafs 2) If he didn't comply, it would be easy to throw him around like a ragdoll. Like I said, I'm not sure how tall the guy actually is, but it's an odd "coincidence" that they sent three large men who ended-up choosing a much smaller guy "at random." These are the exact coincidences that society wants us to ignore.

I'm seeing this a little bit differently, although to be fair, I'm sure the passenger's small size had something to do with it, and also the fact that he seemed to be alone, and possibly the fact that he was Chinese. Big men like those guys are would NEVER single out another fellow Big man for the humiliation of dragging him off an airline flight, besides, it's more difficult. I like the Big Fat guy sitting there immune to any bullying. "Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha Ha, they would never do that to my husband!", I can hear his wife thinking. I have to admit the guy didn't exactly behave in a normal fashion, screaming like that, and allegedly saying later, "just kill me". that's no way for a "doctor" to act. I understand that American Airlines is supposed to compensate the displaced passenger by paying double or even triple the fare back in situations like that. These "police" were free to choose randomly, and their choice was based on the perceived vulnerability of the passenger, and BIG men don't usually like little men, and possibly the fact that he was Chinese played a role in their choice, but I would say that if he was BIG man, they probably would have chosen someone else. I'm not sure why they would target him for being Asian, other than the fact that in the United States, Asian men are emasculated in the same way as short men, but that would be two heads of the same snake because they both rely on beliefs that the guys in question "aren't real men." If he were a 6'4 Asian though, I'll bet that whatever views they had about Asians would be disregarded in-favor of another shortish male. Another way to look at it is to ponder what the backlash would be if the officers were short men. I have a feeling I know exactly what it would be like. It would be exactly like the backlash from when a short police officer was the most aggressive member of a police force that was called to the scene of a pool party. heightismreport.tumblr.com/day/2015/06/09

You're absolutely right. He was picked for the same reason a schoolyard bully picks his victim. They decided on someone they knew they could physically abuse, someone smaller in stature, perhaps less athletic appearing, someone they knew they could abuse. Disgusting.
