I was in the grocery store earlier, and there was an older lady in an electric cart in the same aisle as I was. We were the only ones in the aisle at the time, and she was facing my direction. While I was looking for the item I needed, out of the corner of my eye, I could see her slightly struggling to get her cart positioned to where she could reach an item on the middle shelf. The item was some type of jar, so I think she was concerned about breaking it as much as she was about reaching it. I found the item I was looking for, put it in my basket, and was about to go see if I could help her, and right at that moment, I heard her say "Excuse me, sir." I thought she was talking to me, but as I looked, she had her head craned backwards, and was actually speaking to a six-footish guy who was just walking into the aisle. I was literally right in front of her, but she was yelling behind herself to a guy who was all the way on the other end of the aisle. After that, she asked if he would help her get the item. Like I said, it was on the middle shelf, so this wasn't a scenario where the "all-original" "derrr durrrr duuurrrpety, you can't reach top shelves" heightist joke was affecting her decision, this was a thing where she actively sought someone out who wasn't me to assist her.
It's all in your mind little man. The fact that she craned her neck to the point of almost injuring herself to find someone else was just a coincidence. Maybe I should've done pushups before I went to the store, or wore tailored-jeans. Yeppp.....this thing didn't really happen, and if it did, it's my fault.
