I don't know what the event here was that called upon LA's cops to respond but I do know that we're seeing a perfect example of the acceptability of heightism. Were this man Black, we would NEVER hear comments like this related to his Race. Were he Hispanic (and he is, his name is Lopez) we would NEVER hear comments like this related to his ethnicity. Were he overweight, we would probably NEVER hear comments like this related to his weight. What does this tell us? It tells us that Heightism is still the most accepted prejudice in existence. It tells us that people can say and do virtually anything that they want in relation to a man's (not a woman's) stature - anything NEGATIVE that is. He can't berate anyone else based on any physical or genetic trait, other than short stature. Whenever a short man takes the lead as this guy does and stands his ground, immediately his height is used as a weapon against him. The scumbag yelling these epithets at him is no stranger to heightism. This MotherF****r knows all about heightism; as a matter of fact, I wouldn't be surprised if this bastard was/is one of the lowlifes that regularly posts on reddit railing against short men. He knows the phrases, "little man syndrome", "Napoleon Complex", and all the rest, and he's taking full advantage of the acceptability of Heightism. He doesn't say anything to any of the other cops based on ANYTHING. He singles out the short guy. Short men are not allowed to be assertive. It's too much of a threat to let a short man take the lead in anything. In this situation we have all these cops and the screamer singles out ONE guy and his height. Not the "System", not the Police in general, not the wrongfulness of any particular act, but just the HEIGHT of ONE PARTICULAR individual.
Wake up short guys.
Oh and by the way, I haven't disappeared. SFTS is still here.
