This story is about five years old, but I don't think anyone caught it when it occurred, probably because the media only cared about the racism.
We've seen plenty of blatant heightism come from the world of professional wrestling so this is no surprise to anyone.
The background is that in a rant that occurred during a leaked sex tape Hulk Hogan appeared in, he started ranting about his daughter's(Brooke Hogan) love life. Here's what he said.

“I don’t know if Brooke was f*cking the black guy’s son,” Hulk raved, the sources add.
“I mean, I don’t have double standards. I mean, I am a racist, to a point, f*cking n*ggers. But then when it comes to nice people and sh*t, and whatever.” ...
According to sources, he said: “I mean, I’d rather if she was going to f*ck some n*gger, I’d rather have her marry an 8-foot-tall n*gger worth a hundred million dollars! Like a basketball player!
“I guess we’re all a little racist. Fucking n*gger.”
You see that? He obviously is not happy about his daughter dating a black man, but even though he does not support her doing so, it would be more acceptable if he were tall. Hulk Hogan is around 6'7-6'8, and in the spirit of fathers wanting their children to have better lives than their own, he sees his daughter as "deserving" a "real man" who's even taller than he is. This shows you how talls see themselves. They believe that their height alone makes them superior human beings. In this case, you can't even argue against the notion that Hogan thinks talls are superior because we're talking about a guy whose real name is "Terry," but goes by "Hulk" because he wants to flaunt his size to the entire world. The Trumpoleon Complex is serious with that guy.
Now, some of the heightism-deniers lurking are slobbering in rage and writing this off as Hulk wishing Brooke was dating a wealthy man because he specified she needed a basketball player with a hundred million dollars. Their argument will be that it was about wealth, not height. As usual, they would be wrong.
Most of us here know that by Hogan stating that a guy needed to be "8 ft tall," he's more-than-likely expressing his dissatisfaction with Brooke dating a guy who isn't tall enough. Think about it. Why would he say "8 ft tall" and not just say "worth 100 million dollars?" He's obviously over-exaggerating to point-out that he's absolutely triggered by the height of Brooke's bf

Folks. That's a short guy! Brooke is 5'10 ish, and her bf(who is a rapper named Stack$) is significantly shorter. I knew immediately when I read the quote that it sounded like a typical tall whining about a short man dating a tall woman. They absolutely cannot stomach it. Apparently, they didn't date very long, so I hope Stack$ smashed and dashed on that entire psycho family of sky lizards.
So, anyway, when you put all of this together, we have a confirmed racist who would rather his daughter date a tall black man than a short man of probably any race. He gave the alternative of money to make dating a black guy easier to stomach, but there was no signifier for how much money it would take to make a short guy worthy. That's why the absurd "8 ft tall" comment was given. It was a definitive declaration that she needed to completely offset dating a short man by dating a fictitiously tall guy. Talls know that they get a free lunch in society, they believe their own hype, and see everyone else as the peasantry who is here to serve them. This is why even some racists would respect their daughter for dating a tall black man with certain stipulations more so than a short man of any race. This is just a nice treat for the relative privation mob to suck on.
To bring this all the way home, a tall who was fucking his best friend's wife and also fucked one of his daughter's best friends is repulsed by his daughter dating a short man. I mean, he had his best friend's permission to fuck the wife, and of course the wife agreed(because they secretly recorded the encounter) but still, people who are surrounded with sleaziness get all self-righteous when it comes to short men dating their daughters.
