There has been some discussion in the blogosphere about starting something that would essentially be MGTOW for short men(SMGTOW)
I support this because if anyone has a right to "check-out" of society, it is short men. It is abundantly clear that we are not wanted in any facet of society.
They don't want us in Hollywood. Short men are shamed for playing romantic lead roles, they're shamed merely for being short, they're expected to be Garmins(Kevin Hart) or at-best goobers.(Danny Devito) When a short man does secure a role portraying a strong male character, they are summarily mocked.(Tom Cruise)
They don't want us in sports. Short men are always mocked for playing sports(or doing anything traditionally masculine) and the announcers always have to crack jokes at the expense of short men. (A recent example of this is during the World Series, the announcers were laughing at Jose Altuve and Ozzie Albies for being short, and one of them brought-up how hilarious it was when David Ortiz used to slam his short teammate(Dustin Pedroia) into laundry hampers, etc)
They don't want us in positions of leadership. The statistics reflect this because tall men become CEOs much more often than short men, and when a short man is in-charge, people always classify him as an overcompensating Napoleon.
They don't want us to do anything that makes us masculine(because we don't deserve to be treated as "real men") and if we do anything that is not traditionally masculine, it just shows how weak, inferior, and unmasculine short men are.
There is also no political party in existence(especially in the US) that welcomes short men. Both Elizabeth Warren and Donald Trump made heightism a centerpiece of their campaigns, both Tucker Carlson and Melissa Harris-Perry have made outwardly heightist remarks, people on the right mock Robert Reich's height, BLM protestors sought short cops to degrade, feminists are egregiously heightist, and Wall Street(most closely aligned with the Republican party) has extremely heightist hiring practices. Basically, there is no political party that wants to even pretend to welcome short men. This isn't even up for debate. Every social justice group not only doesn't welcome, but goes out of their way to mock short men. They don't want our opinion or our help, so why help them? The same goes with the redpillers and MRAs. None of them care about you, so why return the favor?
I don't even need to discuss why short men would want to check-out of the dating world, at-least to some degree.
We're not supposed to work-out, wear nice clothes, drive a certain-sized truck, or do anything else to enhance our appearance, physical presence, or social status(although, we'll be told to do all of these things if we speak of heightism, and then, when we start doing those things, the same people will tell us we're "overcompensating.")
That brings me to my next point, which is if we even dare utter one word about the heightism we face, we'll be classified as the worst-of-the-worst in society. This is not hyperbole either. A recent example was some trashlouse on Reddit was saying short men who challenge heightism are equivalent to pedophiles. So, even with all the venom that gets sprayed on us, if we utter one word in our own defense, we're the worst society has to offer. We're not allowed to disrupt the status-quo in any way, and we're punished harshly for even entertaining the thought that we deserve to be treated humanely.
So, with all of that being said, there are ample reasons for short men to "go their own way" at-least in some capacity. What I would like to do is develop a philosophy for short men to become SMGOAT(pronounced Sim-Goat) I don't want to be directly associated with MGTOW because they got hijacked by a political slant, and as I've already discussed, the SMGOAT way would be checking-out of politics, or at-least not outwardly supporting political parties until they learn not to use us as designated whipping boys. Short men who wanted to ghost-out completely could change their political party to NPA(No Party Affiliation)
As far as checking-out of the dating scene, MGTOW has enough resources for how to go about doing that, so everyone could decide what level they wanted to check-out. On the conservative side, short men could stop online dating, and on the other end of the spectrum, short men could totally ghost on all of the women in their lives and use all of the other MGTOW methods.
As far as career ghosting, short men could seek-out Work From Home positions, self-employed scenarios, or other job fields that minimized interaction with the public, co-workers, and eliminated the dick-waving contests that tall guys like to initiate to get themselves undeservedly promoted. Many discussions could be tailored on helping one another find(or create) employment that centered on these parameters.
And obviously, short men shouldn't be expected to assist in any social justice efforts for other groups since those groups fight so hard to hold onto their heightist beliefs and to deprive short men of any sort of consideration. They're literally begging us not to help them, so let's give them what they ask for.
Anyway, these are just crude suggestions for what going SMGOAT would be all about. There are obviously different levels of commitment to this philosophy. Like I was saying, this would be a MGTOW-adjacent movement, and not pure MGTOW, which tends to have a one-sided political slant, although, there's no reason why SMGOAT and SMGTOW(short men going their own way) couldn't coexist peacefully. OTOH, I'd welcome discussion about us affiliating with any official SMGTOW group as long as we could find a way not to adopt any narratives that run counter to our anti-heightism roots.
Does this idea generate any interest? I'm just going to see how this thread plays-out(if anyone participates) and if necessary, I'll open a new SMGOAT subheading on this forum. Short men just need to ask themselves whether their treatment(or the treatment of other short men) is bad enough to alter your engagement with society in at-least some minor way? Short men who say "Yes" to that question are the reason why I feel like there is a need for this philosophy. I don't want SMGOAT to only generate venting and memes(although those things will be part of the narrative)because I want it to also be a mutual-aid group among short men where we can derive a sense of community with one another, help one another achieve self-sufficiency etc. Does all of this sound reasonable?
