This is a long article speaking of the different methods people use to try to get taller. For the most part, the article takes a neutral "just reporting the facts" stance in-regard to the various grow taller methods. The author also enlisted Bikerbats(whose real name is apparently "Jerry Hodge") to offer the typical fluff and gloss over all of the related issues. Then, the article begins attacking incels(which has absolutely nothing to do with the original content of the story) and from there, it just descends into the typical abyss of irrelevance. Notice how the article did not even attempt to cover the reasons people want to grow taller. The article told about short men who are dissatisfied with their height, but did not even attempt to explore the actions and beliefs of the society that leads short men to feeling this way. The studies that show short people experience a lower quality of life were discussed, but the discrimination behind these trends was never given a passing mention. The word heightism was not mentioned once, and the literature(and people) who address heightism were completely ignored. This was not done by accident. The article was well-researched, and the abandoned website Short Support was mentioned, thus, you can rest assured that the author came across plenty of heightism-related content, yet, purposely omitted it from the article. This article took the same tone as the infamous 20/20 special where women admitted that tall men would have to be child molestors, rapists etc before they would give short men a chance. That story, in addition to the article we're discussing, took a tone that short men and their problems are a fascinating, mysterious phenomenon and not an indication of underlying societal issues. In these cases, short men's issues are dismissed as nothing more than an entertaining riddle for people to beardstroke about. If you look at the comments, many of the posters are stating how fascinating the content of the article is. They see it merely as a fun thought exercise to be used and thrown away like a crossword puzzle, instead of an indication that there are serious issues surrounding the issue of male height. The article starts-out as just an informative piece, but by the end, all of the author's hard work is wasted because it falls victim to the "equate all men's issues with involuntarily celibacy" narrative that the majority of Reddit has been duped into blindly following. To reiterate, the word heightism was not mentioned once throughout the entire article, yet, many of the diversionary tactics utilized to ignore the topic of heightism were implemented to perfection.
