Have you guys seen this Brownburrito imbecile? Every time I hate myself enough to look at r/short, I see him posting salty heightism-denying nonsense. OP's thread is about how you can ridicule someone for their height, but not their race, to which a woman accused OP of playing Oppression Olympics.
(Which was ridiculous considering he never attempted to compare or equate heightism or racism, he merely stated that it was messed-up that you can't degrade someone's race, but you can most-certainly degrade their height.)
After the female poster made this ludicrous argument, someone else told her that it was no shock that a woman would downplay the effects of heightism being that short men face most of the hatred.
At this point, BrownBurrito swoops in on a chandelier in a fit of white knighting and desperation
"Oh hey there. 5'6 Indian guy here. Not only is heightism not a big deal, it's an exaggeration to even call it "heightism" because that equates it to the likes of racism. How many short people have been killed or arrested or denied entry into restaurants or voting rights because of their height? But go on, clearly her point is less valid she's a woman."

Well, first of all, there is plenty of evidence proving that short people are prone to becoming victims of violence because of the belief that they are unable to defend themselves.(The study that shows serial killers prefer smaller victims is one piece of evidence that comes to mind.) So, we're supposed to believe that short people are viewed as easy targets...yet...have never been killed because of their height. The BrownBabbler's argument FAILS
Now, as far as being arrested goes. We also know that police departments have profiled short men before, even in training manuals. This is not open for debate, it's a flat-out fact. We also know that all of society views short men as trouble makers who need to be watched closely. Police are members of this same society, and most-definitely bring their biases to work, especially ones that don't get challenged. Knowing this is the case, can anyone seriously believe that height never plays a part in arrests? No one with common sense can believe that, but the Brownbuffoon certainly believes it.
As far as voting rights go, a substantial part of the reason women were denied many things is because woman are generally smaller than men. Yes, even tall women were denied the right to vote, but women being the smaller sex is part of why they experience many things that are classified as sexism. If you went on an anti-sexism forum and stated that women being physically smaller than men NEVER leads to any form of discrimination, you'd get run out of the room with your head on a stick, but if you point-out that height is part of the rationale, the vast majority of the people who speak for the victims of these circumstances would suddenly throw a temper tantrum and speak in-favor of the perpetrators. So, no, short people were never denied the right to vote by the letter of the law, but heightism is certainly an "add-in" issue that intensifies other issues.
For the fluttering swan song of the catastrophe that is Brownbumbledore's comment, he has no idea how ridiculous he is for supporting a woman's irrelevant comment about the "Oppression Olympics," while at the same time playing Oppression Olympics by providing a list of things that are worse than heightism. That, by exact definition is playing Oppression Olympics, and he needs to step away from his computer and spend the next few years trying to find a few jars of perspective.
