You think it's "clever" to label short men with a negative stereotype? It doesn't matter whether or not you "care what most people think." This isn't a discussion about your individual cheerleading tactics, it's a discussion about stereotypes and stigmas created by society. In order to discuss such subjects intelligently, you have to address society's collective thoughts. Well congratulations. You've managed to make sure I won't be posting on your forum again. I won't lose much sleep if we lose someone who comes to a heightism forum to show how much of a good boy he is by volunteering himself to be referred to as a Napoleon, and then, explains it away with some semantic foolery about how society doesn't have predominant thoughts about certain groups of people.

LOL. Move it wherever you want. Oh, just one last question -- your name wouldn't happen to be Geoff Arnold, would it? You talk just like him, he was another guy that couldn't handle any difference of opinion.

Hey. I'm sorry that you didn't have a good experience posting today. It happens sometimes. But don't let that deter you. We need your voice. You have a wealth of experience as a short man. And we would love to hear it.

That guy's banned. He can post about where to buy skinny jeans and Garmin strategies in a more suitable forum.

Awww that's sad. I think that sometimes we are all on a different journey. The trauma of heightism impacts people differently. Sometimes people need guidance and patience. I applaud him for trying to participate while so many others are silent. Heightism is a heavy burden..sometime people need to be kindly pointed in the right direction.

I applaud him for trying to participate while so many others are silent. Heightism is a heavy burden..sometime people need to be kindly pointed in the right direction. This isn't a safe space. It's a forum for people who want to discuss heightism seriously. We're not here to mollycoddle people into discussing heightism. We're here to establish an ongoing dialogue about heightism that can be used as a template to move forward if short people ever decide to move forward. He wasn't going to be pointed in any direction because he wouldn't even discuss the Napoleon Complex stereotype because he "doesn't believe in collective thoughts" or whatever other fluffcore theory he concocted. It's a fact that a substantial percentage of the population believes in that negative stereotype, thus, we are going to have discussions about it here. We're not going to waste our time arguing about "whether society has collective thoughts" or any other such loopy thinking, we're here to discuss the hard facts about how society views short people. Jumping up and clicking your heels about how happy you are to be a Napoleon isn't the right way to go about things, and we're not going to become another r/short that is overtaken with Garmins, people who post about spray starching your jeans, and other such trivialities. Also, he apparently has already had issues with Geoff Arnold, and he didn't learn anything from Geoff, so he won't learn anything here either. He also accused me of being Geoff, which is outlandish because Geoff and I carry ourselves in completely different fashions in these discussions. I'm not going to waste even more time sifting through his delusions about how I'm another person, especially when Geoff doesn't even post here.

Well I'm different. I saw in him a person who was trying to participate in a heightism discussion. I feel we have to be patient with fellow short people. Heightism is traumatic. And lots of people have internalized it. This in my opinion should have been a place where people should learn.grow and deprogram themselves. He wasn't even here one day.a d just got banned.that's insane. How can we grow and unite without having some level of compassionate. Plus we need more voices than just three people.

He absolutely was not trying to participate in a heightism discussion. He specifically dismissed the notion of such a discussion by saying "he doesn't care what anyone thinks" and that "he doesn't believe society has collective ideas." I don't care what you think we need because you're wanting to turn this into a safe space where everyone plays virtual grabass instead of demanding that people address heightism directly. This is not, and will never be r/short, so my advice to you is to deal with the nature of this forum because it's not going to change. This forum was created through years of experience between the people who wanted this forum created and knew exactly what was needed, and we're not going to devolve into a cloud of smiley emojis and other such gooberishness.

I also love how compassionate you are toward short men who giggle at the fact that they are labeled as Napoleons, yet, you have absolutely no respect for short men who have done years of work in discussing, exposing, and studying heightism. You choose the side of the "good little boys" because it is easy to drag them around by their collars and aren't very fond of those of us who won't cater to you.
