I haven’t been in here for quite a while now. I guess I got hooked on Reddit subs that contain brutal truths about people’s bias against people who aren’t beautiful. One of the most brutal discriminations on appearance is size. There is one called Braincels. After r/incels got shut down, incels moved to Braincels to post more brutally honest truths. I don’t like Braincels as much because some posters there joke about suicide, which I don’t think is funny at all. I do get their point that it’s over and all that, but sometimes they go too far on their dark humor. It has a lot of shitty posts, but a lot of them contain some truths when it comes to body type, bones, frame, and height. Men are often judged for the size of their bones. Some posters there keep denying that height matters more than a good looking face, but those who deny that are usually 6 ft tall. Even tall ugly people will NEVER understand short men’s plights. In my opinion, height matters a lot more when it comes to men’s appearance. If you lurk braincels, you’ll see a bunch of agreement on unfair height discrimination, so unlike r/short that is usually naive, they know heightism exists. Braincels even disagreed with bikerbats and called him a cuck. My favorite is r/heilheightler. While I understand that it’s an immature name, it shows very good comparisons on race and height in their posts. Usually, they take the mean internet posts on height and switch those heightist words into racist words. This shows how crude, and wildly inappropriate their heightist posts can get. For example, one girl posted “if you’re not at least 6 ft tall, then don’t swipe right, I’m not here for the shorties!” Then the other poster would snap a photo of the heightist’s original post and edit it by saying “If you’re not white, then don’t swipe right. I’m not here for the niggers!” www.reddit.com/r/HeilHeightler/comments/8vdmbc/if_youre_not_white_then_dont_swipe_right/?st=JLI64RG5&sh=b9daae68There are other posts like that. It’s quite an eye opener. The last racist post would instantly get her banned, but when she said something so heightist, she gets away with it, unscathed. This just proves that heightism is so widely celebrated. If you see the upvotes on their posts in heilheightler, it’s clear that a lot of people know heightism is real. Other subreddits I lurk are r/shortcels, and r/Manletcels. Unfortunately, these two don’t have that many posts. Also, I forgot to mention about frame. Frame is another way to get respect. Some short guys have wide frames and thick bones, but there are tall men with small frames that get mocked. If you’re tall and have 6” inch wrist and less than 17” shoulder-to-shoulder width, you’re going to be made fun of as a man. Tall men with small frames still get respected more than short men, though, which proves height matters more. Height, frame, and jaw size are purely genetic, but people promote descrimination against people who lack those qualities without knowing it. Sorry for not posting for a while. Hopefully, I’m still welcomed here. Been looking at tumblr Heightism Report and Twitter Heightism Exposed, but noticed there is still no new content. What’s up? Even if I don’t post here, I still come back here to see if there’s any uplifting news, but it seems like it hasn’t changed much. Still, since I’ve been lurking around in Reddit, it feels like awareness on height discrimination seems to grow thanks to Braincels. You’ll see a lot of slangs like blackpill, normies, manlets, tallfag, bluepill, cuck, and other incel slangs even on YouTube.

For starters, of course you're still welcome here. You've made many valuable contributions to this forum, and we'd love you to continue making contributions.
I do agree that the concept of heightism has become familiar to more groups of people in the past few years, especially in online forums. Whether or not we agree with the other groups you mentioned wholesale, at a bare minimum, they do seem to have an understanding that heightism is a prevalent issue that gets either ignored or celebrated, depending on the situation. It's sad that those groups seem to have a much better grasp of what's going-on than the bulk of r/short posters. Another thing to think about though is where did those groups learn about heightism? The answer is they learned it from those of us who have been beating this drum for years. We're the ones who took the information from studies that get ignored wholesale and introduced them to the message boards, forums, blogs, and websites. We're the ones who started collecting examples of heightism in the media, movies, literature, social media, etc. We're the ones who started outlining the double standards we face. The reason I'm saying this is not to pat ourselves on the back, but to illustrate that talking about these issues works. We still are being ceremoniously shunned by society as a whole, but there are now groups who are receptive to our message, which is why short people seriously need to start speaking about these issues on message boards such as this one. It's amazing how other groups that aren't centered around height specifically can discuss these issues more readily than short people. The fact that short people don't want to discuss heightism in groups where height is the only required similarity between the group's members goes to show you how self-loathing short people are as a group. This backs-up your point about how frames, facial attractiveness, and all of those other traits don't face the systematic marginalization that shortness does.
As far as there being no content in the heightism blogoshpere etc., I can't speak for everyone, but those of us who produce content can only do so much on our own, and the fact that so many things we produce get absolutely no feedback doesn't help to motivate those who produce content. I know that at-least a few of the folks have started focusing on other endeavors where they get more feedback and support. Personally, I'm extremely busy IRL, and don't have much free time, so I'm just using this forum as a base of operations for now, and granted that we don't really have the amount of participation here to suggest that short people are ready to take-on the issue of heightism, that's not really an indication that people are clamoring for more blogs, etc. However, I definitely would like to produce some new blog content, and there might be more people like you who check the blogs for new content, so that's an indication that it might be time to hit the internet with a fresh wave of heightism posts.

Heightism negativly impacts men and women. It doesnt just affect men. There was absolutely no reason for him to specifically mention women in that post, especially considering the fact that he didn't say anything about women not experiencing heightism. Every time we post, are we supposed to post a disclaimer to appease every group in history? His content addressed the way heightism is discussed among different groups, therefore, it was very valid and he should be commended for taking the time to submit it here.

I understand. But I do think its important to emphasize that heightism affects both genders. While you may be aware that heightism is gender neutral. a lot of people don't. So its not to single anyone out. But to say we are both in the same situation. And as cliché as this sounds there is strength in numbers.

It’s different than men’s, but it’s still there. I have seen this firsthand since my girlfriend is short. Most frustrating part is how we had to look for the right shoes size and bike size for my gf. They pick very limited variety for women’s size, in general. I think it’s ridiculous because it’s clear that average height of women are a lot shorter than average height of men’s. Average shoe size is 9 for men, and they still make size 5 for men. For women, it’s much harder to find size 5. It never made sense to me.

You’ll see a lot of slangs like blackpill, normies, manlets, tallfag, bluepill, cuck, and other incel slangs even on YouTube. There's a heck of a lot more reality on the subreddits you mentioned above than there is on r/short. The problem that we face is that there are very, very few short people who want to do anything about it. I took a look at r/heilheightler and the way the posters there substitute the word "short" or the phrase('s) "short men", "short guys", etc., in twitter tweets and all the rest of the people spouting extreme height bigotry (almost always against short men) with 'Black', or 'Jew', or 'Gay', etc. is exactly the best way in my opinion to make people realize the gravity of the bigotry against short people and short men in particular. That is exactly what needs to be done. I've made that point I think in more than one of the broadcasts that I've given on supportfortheshort.org. This is a positive, even though many of these people just want to complain without taking any concrete action, the word substitution is highly effective in my opinion to break through the dense barrier of denial that the vast majority of short people use to protect their individual psyches.
Last year Twitter started cracking down on what they refer to as "hate speech". But that obviously doesn't include hate speech against short people (mostly short men). Anything goes against short men there, and no short men say or do anything about the hate speech directed at them by the twits of Twitter. This is the problem. When a group doesn't fight for itself, it winds up being shoved into the bushes. This is what is happening to the short right now, with short men enduring the bulk of the hate. The few people who post on these message boards seem to be aware of what the general problems are. By the way, I would urge you to set up a blog or a website about heightism. That's the next step. And the next step after that would be setting up real world meetings in some fashion. But that's a long way off.
I’ll try to make some kind of awareness. I’ll have to start small. Maybe I’ll make a YouTube account focusing on heightism, but I wouldn’t count on it. It’s going to be hard, though, because I tried making a video of myself talking before and I always end up like a deer in the headlights. I think a YouTube video on heightism would be a good start? I can try to make a website, but that’s already a lot of work. Which one would be more effective, website or YouTube?

I was also thinking of being active against heightism.
