This is totally disgusting, and an absolutely blatant display of heightism. It's Wendy Williams degrading Ariana Grande. There was quite a backlash about this, but that's based on people being Ariana Grande fans, and not any holistic outrage over heightism.

Ariana herself should speak out about it. Where's her outrage? If she's not bothered by it, then ...

Absolutely right. She is by far not the most intelligent celebrity(even by celebrity standards) but it would be nice if she at least said something. I think she's just letting the wave of backlash do the speaking. Her fans started a #CancelWendyWilliams Twitter onslaught. The problem, is that heightism is condoned in society, so the onslaught will just serve as free publicity for Williams. Still though, I'm glad that there is some resistance, even though it's based on people being Ariana Grande faithful, and not based on heightism being wrong, but every time something like this gets backlash, a few more people might start to conceptualize the notion that degrading someone based on their height is wrong.
I don't think we're going to see any celebrities speaking about this until it is made at least somewhat trendy to do so. The Speaker of The House in England "John Bercow" spoke out about it a few years back, which set off a wave of publicity(Joe even did an interview) but all of the publicity mocked the notion that it's wrong to shame people publicly based on their height. There's still a lot of work to do before celebrities on board, although, I guess we can hope for some diamond in the rough celeb who is willing to take the risk. A lot of celebs invite negative backlash because it brings them publicity, so maybe we can hope for something convoluted like that to swing in our favor.
