For those who don't know, an "incel" is an involuntarily-celibate male who can't find any women to sleep with him. I'm not here to advocate for or speak against their cause, but along with r/short, incels are one of the most hated-on groups on Reddit, and r/short has been embroiled in a war with them for months now. Like I'm always saying, r/short will fight diligently against other powerless groups, but won't say a harsh word about heightists. The reason the resident goobers(Grandpa Mikeypants, frysgoober, BikerBoob, etc.) launch all-out attacks on groups such as incels is they are terrified to fight against groups who have any power, which is why they cower in fear at the notion of confronting heightists. Anyway, like I said, I'm not here to advocate for or against incel rhetoric, and I think short people worry about dating entirely too much to begin with, but whether you think incels are a bunch of sad sacks, trolls, or if you actually identify with them, one thing that you can say in their favor is that in the linked thread, you can tell that some of them have a pretty good handle on what is wrong with the resident lapdogs who infest the clown show over at r/short

Here are some of the best comments from the thread
"Don't bother. Bunch of just world types. They'll bend over backwards to make excuses about why the short man was to blame rather than him simply being born short. He wasn't confident enough, bad personality, whatever. There are a handful of guys there who keep it real but they're drowned out by the apologists. It also periodically gets invaded by women and tall guys who come there to bully over the Internet.
Edit: Just wanted to add, they only have one active mod there who magically shows up if there's "hatespeech" against women. Of course, when average height or tall guys show up to play Internet alpha male and bully short men about inferiority, those posts stay up. I can't think of any other sub where you can show up to insult the members that way and get away with it, aside from bdsm subs or something. The only behavior they enforce is making sure short men aren't rude to anyone, not the other way around. Bunch of hall monitors or something. Reel in the fellow short men to show good behavior."
"I've been banned there five times, don't even fucking bother. Almost every regular poster there is a complete idiot. They hate incels, even though it's basically considered /r/incel-lite by everyone else on reddit. They need to drop the "everyone's welcome" bullshit and get their head out of there asses. There's no reason why pieces of shit from /r/tall or whores who hate short men should be posting there."
"Lol, female opinions are prioritized over at /r/short, despite being short not affecting them in the slightest compared to the psychological torment males have to deal with while being short."
***And in response to Mikeypants when he stated that not much has changed on the dating scene since he was dating back when Calvin Coolidge was president***
"Uh, the internet has completely changed the game. Women didn't have tinder, okcupid, PoF, etc. even 20 years ago and now and easily filter out the undesirables until they find their Prince Charming. It most definitely has changed.
They also have access to more people, which alone (not even taking height into consideration) still makes it more difficult.

Basically, the point I'm trying to get across is that a subreddit that gets roasted all over Reddit has a better handle on how to discuss relevant issues, while the resident lemmings of r/short have decided to attack that group to make themselves seem better in comparison. To say this another way, even other groups who don't have their shit together have a better grasp on reality than short men. This does not bode well for our future.
