This whole thread is full of "just a prank bro" comments: old.reddit.com/r/short/comments/9opev7/can_someone_explain_this_tweet_that_152k_people/You also have some 6'5 guy pulling the old "you're confirming stereotypes" trick. I don't think people realize something is only a joke if society recognizes it as prejudice when played straight. How they can say "it's just a joke" when people legitimately think this stereotype is a scientific fact? Also I wonder if /r/short with all of its white knights/feminists think mocking fat women is just a prank. /r/short views this as a joke, but I view it as someone with a large audience spreading a negative stereotype, a negative stereotype which is not yet regarded as a negative stereotype but rather as folk wisdom.

h. That post was just deleted pretty fast. I swear I was just on there a few seconds ago, and I was just going back to that link in attempt to copy and paste some extra garmin comments!
Luckily, I was able to copy one comment on there that I thought was ridiculous.
“I’m a 5’3 guy and I thought it was funny, it’s just a joke. I’m not the ‘angry short man’ stereotype, I’m a pretty chill person to a fault. But I still laughed.”
That was a garmin post. Unfortunately, I forgot his name.
I think, next time, we gotta quote them here, because they’re deleting so many posts there. Maybe to hide their garminism. Maybe they saw your post here, so they had to immediately delete it to make people think you’re the crazy one.
I tried clicking on your link, and I still can’t believe they deleted it so fast. When was that post made?

Nevermind. The post worked after I posted the last comment here. It didn’t work before for some reason.
Anyway, some more garmin comments.
“I’m a 5’3 guy and I thought it was funny, it’s just a joke. I’m not the ‘angry short man’ stereotype, I’m a pretty chill person to a fault. But I still laughed.”-eggheck
“I love the posts that say because we're shorter, we're angrier. I'm like ‘damn right we are, we're closer to hell and Satan is our homie, the fuck you expect?’ LOL“-cyanalpaca
“Its a joke, chill.“-poke2201
“I thought it was funny 🤷♂️“-aerobic-respiration
And for the most epic garminism, I present you fatantelope (he’s 5’4”):
“Speak for yourself. I make fun of myself and other short people all the time. If I see a man shorter than me it's so surprising that I usually think to myself ‘ 0h, I didn't know the circus was in town!’ Then laugh quitely to myself. I don't feel bad about my hight, I assumed other short people didnt either- untill I discovered this sub. Honestly, like Jews telling Jewish jokes about stereotypes and broad generalities it's healthy and fine and normalizes whatever minority is making the joke.
“It's not the handicap you think it is. Unless your dream is to play in the NBA. But EVERYONE has some challenge that precludes them from a specific thing. Society is awesome and horrible and loving and hateful and wholesome and corrupt. Find your groove and chill in it.
“Edit- when I say I laugh when I see a guy shorter than me, I'm not laughing AT him as if I don't realize he's a half inch shorter than me. In fact, I'm so used to looking up at people I'm sure I've met dudes exactly my hight but felt much taller than them because it's so rare that I can look eye level at someone. I laugh because it is so rare and that it's a little weird that WE are so short. I don't know, I guess I see humor in it. But believe me when I say there is a difference between that and laughing AT someone. I actually do feel for us short people.”
Absolutely ludicrous.

Man, I like Geoffrey Arnold. He spoke truth. Pretty spot on.

What scares me is that was posted TWO YEARS ago. Garminism is going to keep sticking around for a long time, I’m afraid.

But I'm guessing if he's gone then /r/short would literally have zero balls or braincells left. I actually think if GA wasn't such a longtime /r/short member, he would be banned nowadays.

What I find funny about GA is how he supports Bikerbats being a mod, while at the same time complaining about how the subreddit has no "proud short men" left.
How can one man be so smart and stupid at the same time? /r/short has deteriorated because Biker hasn't just banned incels, he's banned most of the realists too.

Man, I like Geoffrey Arnold. He spoke truth. Pretty spot on. I'm going to red-pill you a little with respect to GA. Yes, he sure did and the majority of his posts tend to be good posts, however he will NEVER rise above r/short. I can say this because I've known him (at least on the Internet) for 16 going on 17 years - that's right. Long enough for a baby to be born and now be at the level of a senior in high school. Almost 2 decades. He originally wrote an essay on www.shortsupport.org way back in 2001 - 17 years ago. He claimed to be in college at that time. When the NOSSA website went up in 2005 and they had a message board, he started posting there - until he was banned by Matt Campisi because Campisi claimed he thought GA was trying to sabotage things there. (If you don't know who Matt Campisi is, please check out my website.) Even before he was banned on that message board he would not join NOSSA as a member. GA posted on alt.support.short now long defunct and also now a haven for sex ads and perverts. He also posted for a long time on signonsandiego's message boards, before going to r/short, where he's been for several years. You would think that he is the type of guy that would post here, but he will never do that. I believe this is due to fear that his identity will be discovered by one of us. He is not going to take any risk to anyone finding out who he is and where he is located, although this writer has a very good idea. Were I to reveal any information that I have, he would be gone from r/short too. So in fairness, he's no activist. If we had an organization right now, with a thousand members, he still probably would not consider joining. In the 17 years that he's been on the Internet talking about heightism, he's probably made well over 50,000 posts, posts that will be lost to history. He claims he's Black - and he is. He claims he's a lawyer - and he is. But he will not go beyond the point he was at 17 years ago, posting on anonymous message boards. This is not going to do the Short any good. He knows that, but in his own mind, he dares not risk his career for anything. It's unfortunate that we will never have someone like this, but he knows the ropes well, and his own well-being comes first. I personally have never had any difficulties, but some people will not take even the slightest risk. And I know full-well that there would be no ramifications for him if he came forward. His avatar used to be ProudShortGuy, he's taken that away, I think knowing that it's kind of hypocritical, and it was. He's proud on the Internet where no one knows who he is. Sorry to red-pill you, but these are the facts about good-old Geoff. Great poster, but that's as far as he will ever go. From what I’ve learned so far, it really isn’t easy to spread awareness on height discrimination. When you did it, people tried to find a way to turn on you, then come up with bullshit just so anti-heightism would die out. I guess heightism is so extreme and so overwhelming to the point they don’t want to continue fighting it anymore, because again, heightism is so big now. It feels like only war would stop it. I gotta say, you got balls of titanium.
