Media and hollywood are very heightist.
They’ll always show short guys in negative light and tall guys as superior.
With the rise of women’s participation in media companies this has only gotten worse. Nobody hates short guys more than women do.
They will virtue signal for blacks or gays. The recent gillette ad had a black guy stopping a white guy from harassing a woman.
Of late there has been a rise in showing blacks as the good/rich guys in ads and other media.
It is as if there is a small group with concentrated efforts.
Short guys too need similar efforts. The one’s who can do that are rich billionaires. Many of them are short.
Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Google Founders they are all 5’7”ish.
They became successful on the dint of their intelligence and hard work.
But despite being capable leaders, they will never be able to aspire to run of presidency. We have all seen what happened to Mike Bloomberg.
Despite having more success than anyone else in the race his chances dropped to 0 the moment Trump mocked his height.
Even so called liberal-tolerant woman, Warren mocked his height.
Neither candidate would say such a thing about race or religion because that can cause a blowback.
However heightism doesn’t have a penalty.
I hope Bezos, Zuckerberg and others saw this. Heightism affects them too. They can do something about it.
If they start treating heightism as seriously as racism is and promote short guys in a positive light, that would slowly shift the narrative.
It won’t create an overnight difference but every effort counts.
We have all seen Shrek where a princess would rather pick a tall ogre over a short prince.
