Yes, while sperm banks ban all men below average height, the ideal male is described as tall dark and handsome, and victims of serial killers are smaller on average, some tall people believe shortness is favored by society. What research are they basing this off of? Nothing of course, just the fact that one 6'6 black guy with a rap sheet longer than his leg died. Confirmation bias is a hell of a drug. Anyone who questions OP's narrative is met with "short temper buddy?", but I wonder how many of the guys on /r/tall would rather be Chris Morgan's height. Let's say hypothetically there were two studies, one proving short people are more likely to be victimized by cops, and another saying tall people are. What's funny is that I guarantee the first would be hypothesized as "short people end up getting shot more due to the Napoleon Complex causing them to provoke cops." Meanwhile tall victims would simply be suffering from prejudice. We've seen this before. It's also like how when tall guys want to sound impressive, they'll say women should date them because nobody will mess with them due to how imposing they are. Women themselves will often claim to prefer tall men because it makes them "feel protected." Yet now, the narrative is that you're more at risk around a tall guy because cops might kill him any second. What the hell? Anyway, I'll end this by asking why nobody shot this dude if cops kill tall men so often.

The narrative that tall people are oppressed continues: old.reddit.com/r/tall/comments/gxqsjj/heightism_goes_both_ways/Again, no stats are linked to prove this claim, because we all know what the statistics really say. Tall people make more money on average, are viewed as more powerful/attractive, suffer less depression, etc.

That got on my nerves when he said that. Short people are experiencing way worst heightism. Tallers like that will always find a way to get attention, even trying to appear like they’re victims. They’re almost like women. Like women, they have everything handed to them, but they still say they’re oppressed.

Just when you think society has hit peak idiocy, tallers are now trying to spin a theory that they are the ones who are discriminated against. Wait a minute though...I thought their argument has always been that heightism doesn't exist at all? If heightism doesn't exist, neither tall or short people are discriminated against. Now, that they've conveniently found a way to make it about themselves, heightism suddenly exists, but only against talls. They truly sound like a wealthy person telling a poor person that wealthy people have it worse because the fact that they have to count more money means they are more likely to get paper cuts. Just think of the amount of audacity it takes to think everyone should empathize with them after they've bathed in a deluge of unearned perks and privileges for centuries without showing one iota of concern for the people on the other end of the spectrum.

Tall people have it worse? Well then, let's compare and contrast. Ways in which heightism impacts tall people: - They get fetishised for their height.
- Ergonomic problems due to the assumption that most people are average (e.g. not enough space in an airplane, door frames being too short).
- They get asked "how's the weather up there" occasionally.
- They're assumed to be more aggressive.
Ways in which heightism impacts short people:
- They are generally NOT fetishised for their height, and in fact short height is seen as undesirable.
- Ergonomic problems due to the assumption that most people are average (e.g. not being able to reach shelves, difficulty finding clothes that fit).
- Short height is used as an insult and is one of the first things that people will use as an insult. People obviously see short height as a negative.
- Short jokes are acceptable to the point where multi-billion dollar companies can use them to market their products. (Honda)
- Short men in particular can't be angry or they have Napoleon complexes.
- Short men in particular can't not be angry or they are passive and weak.
- The "overcompensation" nonsense. Self-improvement while short is "overcompensation", being assertive while short is "overcompensation"...
- The correlation between height and earnings negatively impacts short people.
- Short people are taken less seriously and treated like children due to their short height.
Oh, but can't you see how good short people have it! We get to live a few years extra! Yay, I can live in a care home for longer!!! Go "short kings"! (Funny how there's no need for a performative "tall kings" campaign to get people to not mistreat tall people...)

It's funny how when it's time to gain sympathy, tallness is associated with aggressiveness. But when it comes time to actually bear the brunt of being hated on, short men are the ones who deal with the "short man syndrome" stereotype. Tall people are called "gentle giants" even when they press a gun to a pregnant woman's stomach (do a Google search for "George Floyd gentle giant"). Imagine a short guy doing that shit. He'd never hear the end of "napoleon complex" and "angry little man" even if he goes to church every week for the rest of life.
