This hasn’t happened much ever since the old users have posted less, but there was a past trend on r/short where people would complain about the subreddit when ia specific thread got posted somewhere else (srd, any sub full of adults with no lives trying to stirr drama) and weren’t even members, they were only going by the rest of reddit and would leave when the buzz was over.
I wanted to call these people out even though they won’t see it because they’re some of the most pathetic excuses for human beings and almost worse than garmins and others who actively oppose us, as they only show up when r/short is mentioned, go “oh, here goes those pathetic short men blaming everything on their height” and disappear into the wind when the brigade is over.
As I said, these types are worse than “tough” garmins and old white knights imo because they’re one of the most cowardly crowds, given its It’s easy to criticize an entire group when the entire status quo of the online world is and you can hide in the sea of people and not have your individual complaining confronted.
Those people wouldn’t have the balls to post on r/short like the normal fools do, And it’s also very easy to go by others world views of how horrible r/short is when you don’t know nearly enough about heightism as I said, and when you’re a women who gets upvotes just by whining about misogynists anytime it’s convenient with respect to those so called short “I face issues too” women . And those people, whether female or male, milk this to get their Reddit karma, seek attention for useless internet points and provide nothing of value to discussions other than whining that r/short is full of whining.

This is something that happens far too much on r/short. It isn't a past trend - it seems every week, there's someone who comes along with a saviour complex hoping to "fix" the people there by spouting the same oft-repeated garbage that they think is some sort of brand new and enlightening knowledge. There's always someone who comes along hoping to shame short men for complaining by claiming they're "oversensitive" and "thin-skinned" and that they just need to have more kawnfidunce. There's always someone who thinks the issues that we're complaining about are trivial and should just shut up and know our place.
It's even worse when it isn't even someone who is short posting it. They make a point of making their height known for whatever reason. They're like, "I'm 5'10" and let me tell you, nobody really cares about your height as much as you think they do." No shit, really? They're 5'10" - they've never been at the receiving end of heightism, so of course they'd say something like that.
