Actually, I myself have been wondering how we can draw more attention to r/heightdiscrimination. So far, I've been playing the long game, posting whatever I can, when I can in case someone would happen to click on my profile and see where I'm posting, maybe themselves being intrigued by what I'm posting and where and maybe joining it. However, I think the issue is that people just don't know that the subreddit exists. I do not know whether advertising the subreddit's existence on the current mainstream height circles would be the best idea, though.
Welcome to the forum!
I’m still working on that subreddit, though. The real pain for me right now is setting up the sidebar and add category flairs in the menu section. Heightism Report said the viewers will actually check the sidebars to learn more about heightism, so I’m trying to set that up. I gotta ask around on reddit on how to set that up.
I feel stupid for asking this, but what are mainstream height circles?
I should’ve been more clear with that last bit. By “mainstream height circles” I mean places such as r/short (as if they’d allow an ad for a sub like ours), r/tall (not happening) etc. The ones that currently have all the members.
Thanks for taking the initiative to create a subreddit, though. Prior to the creation of r/heightdiscrimination, the current subs for short people were either overly censorious (r/short) or overly focused on “positivity” (r/shortkings), or conversely were just fronts for incels (r/shortcels). In all cases they’re mostly focused on dating, when heightism is about so much more than that.
