Former Vice President Joe Biden visited autoworkers in Michigan to rally support for his presidential campaign. In the video, he and a worker get heated while discussing guns. At one point, Biden invades the personal space of the guy he's arguing with, and begins pointing his finger in the guy's face. The guy responds "This is not ok" and signifies that it's unacceptable for Biden to be poking his fingers in the face of other people. I looked-up several articles and none of them equated the "This is not ok" comment with the invasion of the guy's personal space, they all equated it with what the worker's belief that Biden will attempt to take guns from Americans. This is completely untrue because the gestures the autoworker makes are blatantly referencing Biden's encroachment on his personal space. I guess none of the people who wrote the articles find anything wrong with the zone of space violation, they merely take offense to the threatening language Biden uses. Now, let's get to the reason that the zone of space violations aren't being taken seriously. Biden is around 6'0 tall, which means that he is taller than over 85% of the population. Notice how he is craning his head downward on the autoworker while talking to him. The autoworker also looks considerably taller than he actually is because he's wearing a hard hat. With these things mentioned, I'm guessing that the autoworker is 5'7 at an absolute maximum. This is an example of a tall man becoming extremely agitated when a short man disagrees with him. Yes, Biden is pretty cantankerous all day, everyday, but in this instance, he took things to the brink of physical violence, and he did so because he can not stomach being confronted by a short man. He even threatened to slap the autoworker at one point. One of r/short's favorite talking points is "No one has ever been attacked for being short." Well, here we have direct evidence of a scenario that plays-out time-and-time again in society when cameras are not rolling, and you'd better believe that Biden took things to this level because of an anger toward short men who dare confront tall men. This is no different than "The Johnson Treatment," which was a tactic Lyndon B Johnson used where he would invade the personal space of shorter men to impose his will on them. LBJ was celebrated for using this tactic and portrayed as a "real man's president" for using his stature to impose his will on others, and Joe Biden is doing the same thing in this video. There are many videos of Biden engaging in all types of questionable acts, but you will not find one of him invading the personal space of a taller in this manner. Heightism has been an integral part of the presidential campaign from the get-go, yet, we're still not anywhere near the point where society wants to take a serious look at this issue. www.theblaze.com/news/biden-tells-voter-hes-full-of-st-threatens-to-slap-him-in-the-face-in-confrontation-over-gun-control-in-michigan

For those keeping track, within the past few months, Trump, Warren, and Biden have all engaged outwardly in some form of heightism. In international politics, we've seen John Bercow confronted by an angry tall who screamed hatred about all short men. We've also seen an outcropping of outward displays of heightism in the sports world. We've seen Jimmy Kimmel make an entire skit mocking short men. Tall man/woman syndrome is seriously intensifying. With all of this happening, the simps of r/short are still spouting their "heightism only exists online" platitudes to buy themselves temporary comfort. The evidence is readily-accessible, and the writing is on the wall, yet, short men still choose to be passive do-nothings.

Here's a closeup view of the encounter. From this view, you can see how much shorter the autoworker is than Biden. It also shows Biden using the typical body language and the "get the f out of here" expression tall men always display when addressing a short man.

Here's another recent confrontation Biden has encountered. This guy looks like he's almost identical in height to Biden. Notice the difference in how he handles this in comparison to the short man in the first video. In this video, Biden only escalates it to a point, he only points minimally and is far less emphatic in doing so, and there are no zone of space violations occurring. In the first video, when the short man took exception to Biden's zone of space violations, Biden escalated the situation, but when this situation escalated, Biden retreated. www.reddit.com/r/OurPresident/comments/fh1clw/veteran_confronts_joe_biden_for_his_role_in/

People will flat out deny heightism and tall men thinking that they’re superior when we have insurmountable evidence of at least 2 presidents using their stature to intimidate people in lower positions of power, Obama with putin, Johnson with anyone much shorter than him, Trump ofc, and clear-cut incidents like this if you keep track of the height differences. For people who could be lurking thinking "height had nothing to do with it, it was just toxic masculinity and male on male dominance" or any similar illogical argument like that, flip the heights and truly say there wouldn't be a few comments about short man syndrome, and just go on any reddit thread with an angry short man to see how quickly accusations of it get made.
I want to state that also shows us that if the VP and multiple presidents, men who don't need to their stature to get his point across needs to size up shorter men who challenge them (since presidents are above average height they would most likely be taller anyway), imagine how much this tactic is used by non famous tall men who can't get their point across by having status. If their height is all they have because the short man in the altercation outwits them, you can rest assured that they're going to take advantage of their size to make the shorter man backpedal.

Stop deleting your posts and re-posting them because you want your post to get the most attention. This is unproductive behavior and will not be accepted here. I have to monitor the posts here and it wastes my time to have to log-in to see that you're playing these games. It also wastes everyone else's time when they receive notifications only to see that you're trying to self-promote. I let this behavior slide numerous times, so consider this a warning. Just keep posting about heightism. Everyone has posts that don't get responded to, so that's just a fact of life. We're here to establish a historical record of heightism and a template for how to discuss heightism, not to see who can generate the most responses, thus, all posts are valid whether or not they are responded to. Keep this in mind moving forward.

Alright, you got me, it will stop. I can see how it would be annoying to deal with as admin, but I did not want to make it an issue as a confrontation, however i admit it's not much better than complaining about not getting views.. It was a bad habit and I won't try any more loopholes, I'll keep my posts up. The truth is the truth whether or not it gets acknowledged by someone after all.

We cannot so easily identify heightism when Biden displays it; but it is heightism nonetheless. If the mainstream media doesn't call out President Trump for his overt heightism - and the mainstream media HATES Trump - are we going to believe for a moment that they're going to criticize Joe Biden's disparate reaction between two different men confronting him, based on their height?? No. Not for a moment. This find proves our point, but the media and everyone else doesn't even notice that height even plays a role here. Once again, not to be redundant, but if overt examples of heightism by the President of the United States himself does not garner a serious reaction by the very people who hate his guts, how can we possibly expect them or anyone else to respond to this unconscious demonstration of heightism by Joe Biden? Furthermore, they would need another situation to compare Biden's reaction to the construction worker to, in order to make a comparison. HR has provided us with that, but the vast majority of people are not even thinking about height when it comes to these exchanges. Once again, not to be redundant, but if people are not going to call out overt heightism, how could they possibly call out covert heightism?
I totally agree with this and have been thinking about it for a long time. Most people aren't even acknowleding heightism when short men are insulted and degraded openly online, so when it comes to zone of space violations that are covert but people who are aware of heightism can spot from a mile away. I think most people understand the basic mentality that tall is better to society on a fundamental level, but a lot don't have the intelligence to discuss some of the overt characteristics on even 1% of the level it's talked about on this forum, how can the average person spot the covert things that are happening? It takes atleast above average intelligence from what i've seen to understand things like short men being talked over, being bumped into more often (i've experienced this firsthand), being scorned at for being successful and more, and we all know people with "normal" intelligence don't pickup on subtleties and nuances. My point is, I personally think some people just don't have the intellect to see these covert instances even if they were open to, so how could they discuss them? It's in no way me excusing it, simply stating since the average person isn't built to analyze societal norms and double standards at this level, a lot of people are close to never going to wake up because their comprehension skills don't allow it. So to sum up, there's another level to people not calling it out, and that is that many can't even identify it in the first place using 110% of their brain, but the people with well above average intelligence who make up at least quarter of the population can identify these things if given the right tools and not r/short type solutions.

Two very good finds by HR, and if held in comparison with each other, point to the difference in treatment between short and tall men. The mainstream media and mostly everyone else will never notice anything with respect to height in these exchanges. It will go completely unnoticed, except of course, by us, and perhaps a few others (very few). Biden doesn't know of course, what's happening himself; he just does what he's programmed to do, and that is take advantage of a natural physical and psychological advantage. We forget that as children we're all looking UP, and the adults and olders are all looking down. Biden is taking advantage of this. Of course, he doesn't realize on a conscious level what he's doing. He's just responding and giving less respect to the person he's looking down on, and more respect to the person he's looking at on the same level. This is an example of the subliminal side of heightism. Biden displays subliminal heightism. President Trump displays overt heightism. We can easily call out President Trump for his nicknames of men under 6 feet in height. I mirror every sentiment you've spoken. There certainly is not much hope of generating discussion about covert heightism when overt heightism is either ignored or celebrated, depending on what is convenient for society at any given moment. On the other hand, after overt heightist, Elizabeth Warren, dropped out of the presidential race, people were sending her snake emojis to signify that she was a proverbial snake within the progressive side of the left. Then, the feminism train got rolling with the notion that these snake emojis were sexist. Theories ranged from Freudian beliefs that snakes look like penises, thus, these emojis were essentially sending dick pics by proxy, and there were Adam and Eve theories that the snakes represent biblical "women are subservient to men" types of beliefs. These crackpot theories were given much credence and attention, all because of some silly emojis! These emojis were neither overt nor covert sexism, yet, just because some folks came-up with nonsensical theories through grueling mental gymnastics, that's all that was needed to get sexism talked about. However, even the most overt examples of heightism won't generate a half-decent discussion. When snake emojis can illicit such a widespread response for the feminist cause, while child suicides and the like regarding heightism generate puns, mocking, and denials, there is a serious power imbalance going-on.
