Look at this gem from r/short. It's from the thread we're analyzing regarding Boomerbats.

"Actually, in this situation, I would DEFINITELY say that his height isn’t the only problem. If a woman actually rejects you “with disgust,” there is something else you’re doing wrong."
The thread is literally about a women being so disgusted by short men that they can't even stomach the thought of other women dating short men. He figures this would be a good time to shift the blame back onto the victims, even though the whole premise of the discussion destroys his argument.
"when I've gone out with my friend (5-6 inches taller than me, so a blatantly obvious difference) I have still gotten MORE attention from women than he has. He's average in looks and I'm probably not even "good looking" by most people's standards, but my anecdote goes to show that height really isn't always the deciding factor in situations like these."
So, his argument is that a short unattractive man will always be more successful than a tall unattractive man. Will someone please inform the sweet little dumpling that shortness diminishes his attractiveness immediately? Now, onto his theory that he is more successful than his tall friend, notice the wording of his statement. He has gotten "more attention" than his tall friend. Notice, how he didn't mention closing the deal or anything of that nature. He just speaks of "more attention." Basically, he was probably given the privilege of buying more women drinks than his tall friend, before the women took off to greener pastures. This of course relies on a belief that his story is even true, which it probably isn't.
"OP’s friend was likely raised in a non-progressive environment where other progressive ideas, such as openly accepting homosexuality and allowing for women to be in government, are concepts that are still frowned upon. So OP’s friend doesn’t even hate short men in general, she just can’t accept the untraditional height difference. Once again, people on here managed to interpret this situation in the worst possible way though"
Look at this Garmin. He has now found a way to spin this story back to being about women's issues and has thrown LBGT folks in as a bonus. Not only is he doing that, but he's stating that OP's female friend is merely a victim of circumstance for being utterly disgusted by not only short men, but also disgusted by women who date short men. Garmin. Check. White Knight. Double Check.
"I have experienced heightism of course, but the thing is people here vastly exaggerate how bad it really is. If it’s as bad as people here seem to think, why have there been absolutely no movements at all to stop height discrimination, as there have been with things like racism and sexism?"
Boy, stop. That has to be the best one yet. He spent the whole thread downplaying the effects of heightism, and is now using the fact that there have been "absolutely no movements at all to stop heightism discrimination" as evidence that heightism is not severe enough to address. Garmins like him are precisely the reason there have been no movements against heightism. This thread was an attempt to discuss heightism, and the response shows you exactly why we can't put together a good enough nucleus to address heightism is in a serious manner. Guys like this are 100% the problem, and we're not going to get anywhere until we've whittled their numbers down greatly. I don't expect that moment to arrive any time in the near future.
