As title says, my height hasn't affected me much aside from the standard 'no dudes below x feet' kinda thing from women. Same within my work environment, I get the occasional height jabs and I jab back. There's no need to take it beyond what it is, banter. these trends seem to get blown to unfair proportions by how much we read about it on the internet.
Typical garmin tactics. Says he gets height jabs, brushes it off as "just jokes".
I am in no way saying heightism doesn't exist. It certainly does, and I can say that some of my experiences (especially in the dating scene), can be attributed to some heightist views. That said, I believe that finding healthy (albeit pragmatic) ways to deal with the issues are exponentially more important than wallowing in misery.
Or you could let other short men speak and not police short men who are much more intellectual than you/ aren't afraid to speak truth. He can't even see how transparent he is.
From a short dude to my fellow short dudes. The cliche advice holds true. Work on your style, attitude, fitness, hygiene, career, etc. And don't fret too much about the things you have little-to-no control over: height. Dating is a numbers game, no one keeps track of your batting average, you shoot your shot & move on. We're right smack in the middle of swipe culture after all.
He knows deep down, height itself is not what these so called short men are worried about, but obviously wont say the word heightism
Dear bro dudes and sis dudes (dude is now a gender-neutral term, fite me) that are holding on the negative energy of your height-related experiences, take that energy and start using it to fuel more positive endeavors. We all gon' make it.
Put your rose colored glasses on, half-assedly pretend like you're also giving "advice" to women" and scream "Negative, wahh!" at the top of your lungs.
The same lame-ass anti-heightism arguments used for 5 years, yet short men say nothing.
