Those who browse r/short will be familiar with "frys180." He's one of the main cheerleaders for taking the focus off bigots and putting the burden of "ending heightism" on short people, and short people only. Here's an example of the fuckdandy in question using somewhat of a meaningless, pseudo-intellectual word salad to shift the focus off bigots.
"Like, she says this, but one day she might meet a short guy who's "that dude" and she'll have a change of perspective. It happens over and over and over again to women of all varying heights.
She's speaking out of social fear and frustration at deception. Doesn't matter that she most likely wouldn't be upset if a 6'5 guy lied and said he was 6'0. It's not the point. The point is to see what's underneath the veil of her apparent visceral dislike for shorter guys. It's heightism that's the problem. The propaganda that's instilled in us about shorter people molds this type of sentiment and fosters this reaction.
The best way to solve this problem is to attack it at it's source, as opposed to attacking the person with the beliefs. Attacking the person with the beliefs just causes them to double-down and no one gets anywhere. "Winning" battles but losing wars. We will only win this war with strategy, planning, suggestion, and social engineering. You guys want this to end right? You guys want heightism to dilute to something barely significant.. right? Well the only way we're going to do that is we make the right moves. You know "that dude" I mentioned earlier? Think about what guys like that do and emulate their positive attributes. If we all did that today, heightism in dating would be almost gone
As you can see, he's all over the place except anywhere in the realm of being even halfway close to a point. Let's address his bullet points of buttfuckery one by one.
"one day she might meet a short guy who's "that dude" and she'll have a change of perspective"
Let's just ignore the fact that she posted a video that had obvious heightist beliefs where she framed short men as a nuisance, but let's evoke the short casanova archetype as the "solution." By putting the obligation on "that dude," he is shifting the blame for this bitch's hateful beliefs onto short men. This is just more of the kawnfooodinz narrative in action
"Doesn't matter that she most likely wouldn't be upset if a 6'5 guy lied and said he was 6'0. It's not the point"
Wow. It's not the point that she treats short men with contempt for something that she would ignore if a tall man for doing? This pathetic weasel thinks it "isn't the point" that short men are inflicted with hateful double-standards and stigmatized for things that other men do.
"Attacking the person with the beliefs just causes them to double-down and no one gets anywhere."
And this is the part where he goes full-Garmin by protecting the bigot. I'll make this simple. Anyone who is reading this, name ONE marginalized group in the course of history that moved forward without attacking the beliefs of the actual people who were discriminating. Name just one. You can't do it, can you? It doesn't take an advanced level of intelligence to comprehend that people in society who participate in hateful acts need to be held accountable. There is absolutely no incentive for people to cease with hateful actions and beliefs if they aren't held accountable. There's nothing complicated about this. Good behavior needs to be rewarded, and bad behavior needs to be challenged. I can't believe I have to explain something this blatantly obvious, but the cowardly lapdogs among us will do anything to appease their masters, so here we are. Who cares if the person "doubles-down?" It's the core of Millennialized fluff to believe we "can change hearts and minds with our awesomeness." If the bigot doubles-down, good, we've made them uncomfortable. It is a positive if bigoted ideas are stigmatized to the point where the bigots feel discomfort. It makes me physically ill that short people still can't comprehend concepts this simple.
"We will only win this war with strategy, planning, suggestion, and social engineering"
Yeah, his strategy is to blame short people for heightism and to plan to continue licking the boots of discriminators by creating a cloud of immunity around everything they do. Great strategy, knucklehead.
"You know "that dude" I mentioned earlier? Think about what guys like that do and emulate their positive attributes. If we all did that today, heightism in dating would be almost gone"
And he closes by renewing his Garmin card with a definitive proclamation that hateful women exist...because of the actions of short men. There you have it, short men. This is why we don't make any progress.
