I would do a blanket rejection of all opinions about heightism from men 5'8" and above. I don't think i have ever been to /r short. I strongly suspect that bikerbats is being dishonest. We all know that anyone can write anything they want in anonymous message boards. Bikerbats is probably either lying about his height or bikerbats does not really believe his own argument that heightism does not exist. Welcome. Bikerbats, aka the worst mod r/short ever has had, is known for his dishonesty and cognitive dissonance and it's been rehashed many times by several of us, so yes you're very correct stating that he's deluded and not being fully truthful. Like HeightismReport said though, there are numerous examples of men who are slightly below average facing heightism, evidence that heightism is getting worse, and as a result it also shows us men under 5'6" really face a lot of heightism. Indeed, men who are an inch or so don't face it to the same degree obviously, but if we gatekeep and dismiss them we're loosing more allies in this game that only about 5 people in such a populus world are fighting (heightism). Also, men lying about their height is a product of heightism, and that's where the line needs to be drawn, not classfying the short cutoff and who gets an opinion on heightism based on their stature.

I fully agree with that.(I think that's even been mentioned in this thread) Any 5'9 guy who tries to "school" a guy several inches shorter on how heightism exists needs to be immediately told to walk the plank. However, in this thread, I also mentioned that I've seen examples of 5'8 men facing heightism. When you consider this in-addition to the fact that there are 5'2 men(such as bikerbats from r/short) who denies that heightism exists, you start realizing that it's unproductive to make an arbitrary cutoff point as a blanket rejection of all opinions from men 5'7 and above. Please don't waste your time at r/short. You are correct about bikerbats because he not only is a proven liar, but he has been busted multiple times contradicting his own stories and beliefs. The problem with your blanket rejection is that it doesn't allow us to have any allies. It puts the entire burden on short men to address heightism, and unfortunately, short men will never do so until they have "permission" from others. They can gain this permission by seeing 5'7 and above men addressing the issue. Yes, we should always make sure that non-short people are fully vetted before we trust them, but all your blanket rejection does is gives people a blank check on not caring about the issues short men face. It basically puts us in a situation where we're the only ones who have to do any of the work, and doesn't leave a pathway for others to change. I know they aren't going to change any time soon no matter what we do, but we're trying to build a foundation that will allow change to occur IF society is ever ready to do so, and establishing blanket rejections just keeps the burden of change entirely on us when we're not the ones who need to change the most.
