One of r/short's favorite fictions of recent times is the belief that Kevin Hart has abandoned his ways of volunteering to be mocked for his height and has become some trailblazer who will pave the way for other successful short men. However, as usual, r/short can be proven wrong with a slight amount of effort. This recent tweet of Hart's shows you exactly how much the "new and improved" Kevin Hart has distanced himself from his Garmin ways
As some of you may know, Hart has recently come under fire for homophobic comments he made in the past. Being that he's feeling the effects of those comments, it can be inferred that Hart made this tweet to show what a good boy he is. His aim is to prove that he will certainly "know his role" in the future and won't step out of line again. Hart didn't like the scrutiny he was facing and knew that he could self-deprecate like a good little Garmin as a means to show the world that he knows his place. He knew this was a good strategy because people never tire of laughing at Hart's height, thus, he figured that if he offered short men as a sacrificial lamb, maybe everyone would stop focusing on the homophobic comments he made in the past. It's really pathetic that he is a multi-millionaire, and money is power, yet, he still doesn't have the gall to present himself in a respectable way. Uninformed people will state that Hart is "owning his height" or somehow showing that short men can be successful, but if you read the comment section of this tweet, you'll see that most people are just using this tweet as a means to make degrading short jokes, thus, his behavior only makes heightism worse. Hart always has been, and will always be a Garmin, and any short man who defends him needs to be taught a lesson in self respect.

He has always been 5’2”.

Hart always has been, and will always be a Garmin, and any short man who defends him needs to be taught a lesson in self respect. So he magically grew 4 inches? Why is he lying? He has always been 5’2”. He's not lying to actually convince people, he's lying as a joke. His height is the most mockable thing about him, thus, the joke relies on the premise that he's an insecure short men who lies about his height. He knew that people would laugh at him because nothing's funnier to people than a short man who aspires to be a tall man(or to even get respected like a tall man.) This is his way of showing his subservience to make-up for the fact that his past comments are coming under fire. When a short man promises to "fall back in line," it reassures everyone that a "lesser" man is putting himself back into the lane that he's supposed to stay in. They like it when we let them know that we're aware of our height, so everyone is giddy that Hart is embracing his subservience in this tweet.
