Let's ponder that for a moment. He, as a short man, prefers short women, and is told that he has a fetish. Gee. It's almost as if people are displeased with short men having physical attraction for women in the same way tall men do. Women are defended until the cows come home for reinforcing the male-taller norm, but when he has an attraction that falls in line with the same norm, it is written-off as sexually deviant behavior. Another thing he doesn't comprehend is if he preferred tall women, it would also be written-off as a fetish. If the women weren't tall or short, it would be written off as "he thinks he's entitled to female companionship and dehumanizes women by focusing on their body type."

The point I'm making here is that short men aren't afforded the same respect as other people, which is why our preferences are "fetishes" and also why people feel it is perfectly ok to pick short men up for a cheap laugh, or, to enhance their own social standing. Can you imagine going to a feminist blog and seeing women talking about how fun it is when men touch them against their will?

No matter whether OP thinks it is fun to be picked-up against his will or not, the fact remains that the reason people do this is because short men aren't afforded basic respect, emotions, ambitions, or consideration. The fact that OP doesn't believe in exhibiting traditional traits of masculunity does not matter in this scenario because the same system of ethics that tells tallers to use him as a punchline is the same system of ethics that tells people that his physical preferences are "fetishes." Whether or not OP wants to be treated like a plaything does not factor into the notion that short men are readily expected to take this role whether or not they have given consent. Encouraging this behavior has implications that go far beyond just being lifted off the ground.

It's just a joke when people violate his physical space and put their hands on him, and it's also "just a joke" when people classify him as a creeper for being attracted to short women. It's just all fun and games when short men are discriminated against, and you can always count on a Garmin to jovially accept being spoon-fed repeated spoonfulls of dirt
