Yep....Our good friend frys180
The relevant thread was posted on r/tall by an r/short member. R/tall immediately banned the r/short guy for posting the thread. THe subject matter was about how when short men hit on women, they are prone to be labeled as "not respecting women's boundaries" but tall men are classified as "confident go-getters."
Of course, Frygarmin then boards the White Knight Express at the Garminville terminal by placing the burden on short men to undo this hateful double standard that they didn't create.
"That's because, despite you wanting to "start a dialogue" about the topic, what you're doing isn't an effective strategy in changing someone's mind. You never directly mention uncomfortable stimuli when you want someone to think along different lines. What you do instead is show them things that will compel them to change on their own volition. You want to sell the short guy experience as something great."
Yes, this substandard asslouse is advocating that we never mention "uncomfortable stimuli" to the people who discriminate against us. I can't think of anything more Garmin than that. Instead of holding people accountable for their actions, he advocates that we don't make them uncomfortable, and in addition, we have to "sell the short guy experience as something great." I've said it a million times, and I know I'll have to say it three-hundred million more, but discriminated-against people NEVER have the power to overturn discriminatory actions with their own behavior; The only thing that has ever worked is for enough members of the discriminated-against group to get fed-up, speak truth to power, and to gain powerful allies(some of whom need to be from the privileged group that benefits from the discrimination) so that they all can collectively form a system of consequences for the discriminators. No consequences equals no change....EVERY, SINGLE, TIME. This is really a simple concept and it is beyond ridiculously counterproductive for so many jolly simpletons to be acting as advisers for short men when everything they say counteracts every lesson that has been learned throughout history.
