This chode, who looks to be average height(look how much taller he was than the older guy he shook hands with in the beginning) gets-up on stage and just makes an entire mockery of the concept of heightism and short men as a whole. He makes idiotic jokes about roller coasters, stands-up on a step ladder, and before he begins his speech, he plays into the myth that short men need to compensate, and he makes a dig at another short guy's height who is in the audience. Notice how most of the people you can hear squealing with delight are women. I'll bet the tall men in the audience just sat there silently busting at the seams with pride at this little fool for stroking their egos in front of them. This punk even had the audacity to make light of the wage gap statistics, the Napoleon Complex myth, and other degrading ideas about short men as a whole. I would be much more entertained if the video ended with someone wiping that subservient smirk off his face.

I wonder what /r/short thinks of this video. Has it been posted there?
Either way, this reminds me of that post you made about how universities take fat shaming as a serious issue, enough to have courses about how oppressive it is. Meanwhile this crap presentation is what heightism gets. What a funny society.

I don't think this has ever been posted on r/short. In other news, in the recent past, there has been somewhat of an outcropping of videos on Youtube of people mocking short men and diagnosing short men with all of the fictitious complexes we are all so familiar with. It seems like Youtube may be moving toward a scenario that is similar to Twitter, which is a hotbed for heightism and there seems to be somewhat of a contest to see who can degrade short men the most. We'll be sure to monitor Youtube more often.
As far as how heightism gets treated, it is so ridiculous that videos like this will contain actual statistics indicating that heightism is an issue that affects short men negatively, yet, the video still takes-on a humorous tone. It's even worse that in this video, a short man is following this particular script. Garmins like this guy bring-up legitimate issues such as the wage gap, but then, illustrate for no one to worry about this because he volunteers himself(and the rest of us by extension) to be whipping boys who aren't taken seriously. We need to challenge this type of behavior every time we see it because it seriously is completely ruining all of the work we do to have this issue framed seriously.
